The proposed upgrading of the existing road from Lojing to Pos Blau is located approximately 34 kilometers North East of Tanah Rata. The proposed route traverses through the main range at Lojing side and through steep mountains terrain to the lower ground in Pos Blau.

The project involves the construction of two four (4) lanes flexible pavement with 3.5 meters lane width and 2.5 meters shoulder on both sides. It also involves environmental mitigation and monitoring works, the construction of a lay-by, and slope protection, erosion control protective and siltation control measures. The construction of five river bridges and four viaduct structures utilizing precast prestressed concrete beams with cast-in-situ deck slab or box girder segmental construction or a combination of both.
